happy spring!

i shouldn't be surprised. i know that spring in the north comes about mid-May, and i should wait to plant garden seeds until June. i'd still like a green March, call me nutty.

i think i'll go skiing.

summer!! aaaaagh!!

really, really wanting summer to be here. in these northern climes, I find that February is the toughest month. if we could just skip the month, excluding certain birthdays, the year would flow a little better.

but no. no, no, noooo.

February drags on. we get a little snow to break things up, but mostly it's just really cold and icy. the days get a little longer, and the sunny days help, but oh, the February funk sets in.

i am officially a little stir-crazy. dreaming of green grass, warm sun, even bugs buzzing as I weed. scouring my gardening catalogs, planning which vegetation to plant, what will be dug up, what I will build this year.

I cling to the gorgeous photos in the magazines, put myself in the middle of it, and soothe my soul with watering my little house plants.

I'll make it to spring. but I may need to visit a few flower shops in the meantime.
