vets rock.

update for the puppy - we've been continuing her walks - we're up toa good 45 minutes of brisk trotting. PLUS, when we get back, if the weather is dry (a rare thing in these minnesota springs) we stay outside, and she patrols and zooms around like it's nothing. such a pup!

the DES is now given once a week, the PPA is given twice a day, and dr. m is happy, especially about the DES only once a week. it can hinder the bone marrow's red blood cell production, so the lowest dose is best. and her monthly shot of DOCP is getting even easier - pup knows it's coming, and just wants to examine the needle after. curious pup, she. and i write everything down in her journal, what i give when, any behavioral changes, and vomiting or odd poopage. it's all about the poop. the info is incredibly valuable if she starts feeling crappy.

be sure to give your vet periodic updates on how your pet is doing - they appreciate the good news so much, especially if they mostly see your fuzzy babe when they're not doing so well. every little victory is a comfort to them on bad days, i'd bet. vets are wonderful people.
