spring awakening

snows have melted, and little bits of spring are springing! these are a few crocuses pushing up to our relatively tropical weather-the50's ferheaven's sake. crazy little sprouts.

and people are getting out and getting crazy, too - some chick plowed into my wood fence along the back of my property! my neighbors saw the whole thing, got the license number and description, filed the report with thepolice. what is it about nice weather coming that makes people lose their minds? that extra energy, the change in wardrobe, the ability to breathe a little easier. i can understand. but really, did she have to smash my fence? really...

oh, and i'm older now. i love my cake - oh, but i laughed when i saw it! and i do love getting older. i don't mind the wrinkles as much as i used to (most of the time), i love the thought that i have so much history, i LOVE my gray streak, and i love my friends. i do love my life, hard as it can be sometimes.

i'm a very lucky person to have so much.

and we're getting snow on Monday, so maybe the craziness will slow down, or go back inside at least.
