so much fur

pup has now shed both her under-coat of really fine, fuzzy insulating hair, and her coarse top coat of 2 to 3 inch thick straight hair. the house has a good inch of fuzz everywhere, no matter how much i sweep, vacuum, brush, and pluck the stuff up from the carpets. her butt is now covered in short, coarse hair with fingerwaves and periodic tufts of longer hair that hasn't yet fallen.

she sorta looks like she got a haircut from a 6-year-old.

i think this is her first full transition of fur, unencumbered by the effects of prednisone freaking out her natural shedding rhythms. so nice that she's been healthy for such a long stretch. i give her her shot every 31 days, no daily pred now, the ppa and des as usual. she's so good, so patient.

she's been helping me with the garage project. i've been taking down damaged wood siding and prepping it for new siding and trim, and then a paint job for the whole thing. i love projects like this - no danger of having to live in it, basic skills needed, and a great feeling of accomplishment as it goes along. i even have a toolbelt.

next, once the lumber comes in (had to special order it!) i start cutting and putting it all up, then prime and paint. m will help - i'm not allowed to use the circular saw unsupervised. he basically comes over so he can call 911 if i need the ER.

i appreciate his confidence in my skilz.
